Here's the first of the toys:
It's Barbara Manatee! (Manatee! Manatee!*)
(*At least some people will get the allusion. And yes, because I am silly, I named her Barbara).
This is one of those UMAgurumi patterns from the Edafedd etsy shop. This toy is much smaller than the other ones I've made, but it is very very cute (or so I think).
Here's a front view. I made the face more detailed in the one shown in the pattern:
I tried to capture the odd-shaped mouth that manatees have.
And here's the typical Disembodied Hand Shot that I seem to do so much with toys, to show scale.
This was a fun and quick project. I used one of the "Vanna's Choice" acrylic yarns; the color is called "Taupe Heather," which is an excellent color for many animal toys. (As you will see in the next couple days)
