I do think part of my frustration over what I talked about below is that it seems to me so often the nicely-done, the classy, the well-crafted is overlooked in favor of the flashy.
I've read a few widely-touted bestsellers, both in the mystery genre and in general literature. And while some of them were good, there were a few that I read where my reaction was, "Why are people buying THIS and not this other book by a less-well-known author, which is much better written and much more interesting?"
And as someone who cares about things being well-crafted and nicely designed, it makes me sad, because I see cheaply done flashy stuff driving the well-done, well-crafted stuff out. (Like bad money drives out good.)
But whatever. I will celebrate "Hey, Teach" even if few others do (and did you know the model is Helene Rush's daughter? I mean, Helene is a pretty woman herself - look at her photo - but wow, her daughter is pretty. What a lovely complexion.)

Yes, well, look at what our society values in T.V., too. "Wife Swap" and all those "reality" shows...gag. We don't have cable, so I'm very thankful for PBS.
Helene Rush's daughter has modeled for her before...maybe in INKnitters? I've seen her in photos in the past.

I noticed that of my "friends" on Ravelry, many more have added "Hey Teach" to their cue than the Tank. In fact, I did not realize that knitty had put up their surprise until I went to check out where the "Hey Teach" pattern came from.
