Ever since Anna at Mochimochiland commented that she found the Crime Beat section of her parents' small-town newspaper amusing, I've taken to at least skimming the "Crime Beat" section in mine.

Some of the calls involve things that make me scratch my head (asking for help with stuff I'd do for myself). Most of them involve complaints about loose dogs, or, this week, fireworks. But there was this:
