I am ALMOST tempted to order from The Something Store. The deal with it is: you send them $10, they send you "something."

They say: "It may be something you need, something you want or something you desire."

(The cynic in me: "Yeah...or it might be a piece of guano.")

They do have a "list of exclusions" that they don't send, including p0rn, body parts (whew!), "Miracle" cures, or, oddly enough, "Traffic devices." (There are others, that's just a sample of the list.)

On the one hand, I love surprises and I love getting stuff in the mail.

On the other hand, I hate the thought of wasting even $10 and getting something that I don't want or can't use.

If you order something, I'll order something. I looked through the items on the Something Tracker and they all looked to be worth $10 to me. Maybe I'll order even if you don't.

You should see the infamous Woot Bag O' Crap. The last one I got (I've scored two so far) contained $183.68 worth of stuff for $8. It wasn't stuff I needed, particularly, but you never know. (Assuming you can actually get in - this is a high-demand item for some reason - each "crap" costs $1, and you're allowed up to three. Shipping is a flat $5.)
