Not sure whether to say it like Bill and Ted or like C. Montgomery Burns...
(Missed this yesterday).
Lynn nominated me as one of her "E for Excellent" bloggers.
Well, I try. I do try. And so maybe I don't get twenty bazillion comments a day, and maybe I've not got a book deal. (Supposedly that LOLcats site got a book deal, but I'm holding off believing that, because I heard about it on Tuesday and haven't heard anything about it since...). But I do enjoy writing this thing, and I suspect that with actual fame would come undesirable things as well, that would make it less enjoyable.
So anyway - I like being considered Excellent.
And I love the tagline, "uncommonly civilized rants." I might just swipe that and use it as a tagline on here somewhere. If I didn't already have an overly cluttered sidebar and a super-ego that tends to quash anything that it views as needless grandstanding, I'd begin a little list of "stuff people have said about me" and put it on there.
I'm not going to carry this on; I think my Excellent bloggers would be a union set with the "You Make My Day" bloggers I posted about a while back.
(What the heck. I prefer Bill and Ted to Monty any day, so here you are:
EXCELLENT!!!!!)
And actually, there are some good lines in that movie, like "Be excellent to each other." Which pretty much sums it up, doesn't it?
And yeah, it's a silly movie, but it's a good kind of silly. It's the kind of movie that, if I'm flipping around the channels on a Saturday afternoon and it's on, I'm going to sit down and watch.
