Oh, and a wrap-up:

"Start-over" projects finished:

Bloom from Knitty
the Neapolitan socks
the Stansfield 27 scarf
the really bright Retro-Rib socks

Stalls broken on
Crochet Totoro
Landscape shawl

Progress made on
Kenobi
U-Necked vest

Didn't even touch
the crochet blanket
the quilts
Samus
Cozy

And now, it's November. And I'm giving myself license to start some new things. I wound off the Noro Iro last night and cast on for the Lady Detective Hat - this looks to be a fairly fast knit. I want to do this one because I can take it (either in-progress or finished) with me when I go visit my folks over Thanksgiving (less than 2 weeks! I go in less than 2 weeks!) and can look through the buttons and buckles and stuff from my grandma's and see if there's a buckle that will work. (And if not? There's Sewing Studio with their wonderful dressmaker supplies).

I also photographed some of my "stash" and posted it on Ravelry. Not sure how much of this I will do; I might put up some of the more "unusual" yarns (the ones not widely available everywhere) or the yarns I bought for one thing and decided I didn't want to use for it - so I can "browse patterns" and see what else I could do with it.

I dug out the skein of Mer-Made from Blackberry Ridge to photograph it. It's sitting on the desk next to me now, tempting me to try casting on something from it. I might browse slipped-stitch patterns - this is another VERY busy variegated and I'm coming to the conclusion that they need something like slipped stitches to quiet them down.

I was originally planning on doing (I think it was) the New England Socks out of Knitting on the Road - but I'm not sure how the yarn and a lace pattern will work together. I might just do another pair of the "classy slip-ups" slipped stitch socks from "Knit Socks!"
