I'm back. Pictures will come later. It was really unpleasant driving back from Mineola this time (near freezing rain the whole way and several ee-jits who felt it necessary to go 80 in a 65 mph zone even though it was border freezing rain.) I feel somewhat lucky to be home in one piece.
I got a buckle on the Lady Detective Hat.
I finished a pair of simple socks out of the Kaffe Fasset Regia line.
I also started two new pair of socks: the "Child's French Sock" from the Nancy Bush Vintage socks book, and a sock out of Fleece Artist "Sea Wool" (or whatever the yarn that has "seacell" in it is called) using a pattern that came free with it. (The pattern is somewhat unfortunately named - it is called "Bordello socks" and very closely resembles the famous "Jaywalker" pattern in that it's a sort of solid chevron. I don't know; I think I'd rather get in trouble for jaywalking than for being involved with a bordello)
I also knit a mitten out of the new "101 Designer One-Skein Knits" book but I think I'm going to have to unpick both the thumb and the top of the mitten because the mittens are a bit too short, and the thumb looks kind of wonky. I'm going to have to think about that one a bit.

That sounds like a really unpleasant drive.
Can't wait to see the Regia socks; I've been curious about how it knits up.
Glad you made it home safely. Sounds like your time away was productive. Hope it was enjoyable as well.
