The more I think about it, the more I feel that I made the right decision (re: me doing the traveling for Thanksgiving). I have more "free" time at the holiday than my parents do, and both their aged cats are supposed to receive pills (a kidney pill for one; a thyroid pill for the other) daily, and the catsitter can't get thyroid-cat to take her pill. (And thyroid-cat is the one who won't eat without someone hanging over her going "eat, bless you!")

The one exam I was going to give that day is already covered. And I am sure I can get someone to water the plants for me.

I'm already thinking about what projects to take!

I've decided I'm going to do the "my so-called scarf" and fingerless gloves out of the matching Manos del Uruguay...where I bought a skein, and six months or so later my mom bought a couple of skeins for me (with my only color instruction being "you know what I like; surprise me") and both colorways were the same.
