Well, everything's fixed. The guys came out around 12:30 (I got done with classes around 10:40 and went home thereafter) and they figured out the problem and got things running again.
So I fully expect that when I go home in a few minutes I will be met with a nice cool house. (I came back - a colleague and I had a research-task we could have done tomorrow, but we decided to do today).
And since Thursday is the New Friday (at least as far as I'm concerned in the summers), I can go home and relax. I'm gonna grab a stack of journal articles to read and an ms. to work on, and I'm probably going to stay home all this weekend. And knit, and do a guarded amount of crochet (I do think the shoulder problem was related to too much crochet in a short period of time - I've slacked off on it the past few days and the shoulder is better.)
My house is even very nearly cleaned up! (Because I had to have something to do while waiting on the a/c guys).
So, God's in his Heaven (or Ford's in his flivver, if you're a Huxleyite) and all's right with the world again...

I'm glad your A.C. is working again. Your office sounds too hot to work in...isn't there a law about that? I hate the heat so I can sympathize (I'd rather be cold than hot any day).
