Well, I'm off. Back in about a week.

I took the socks in progress (the Miranda socks, the waving-lace socks, and a pair of simple Opal socks) as well as the Landscape shawl. And the monster yarn and pattern, just in case.

I've also good a good stash of books, both for on the train and while on vacation. Could not take "Jonathan Strange..." alas, it's the hardback and it's huge. So I'm going to put that one on hold, read a couple mysteries, and also start "Cold Comfort Farm." (So I will do at least one of my "summer reading list" books).

It's kind of nice to be able to say, for once, "No, I can't do that...I'm going to be out of town."
