I finished the first (and got decent progress on the second; I'm almost up to the heel flap) of the Bacteriophage socks this weekend:
I made a little chart of the 'phage in MS Powerpoint (excel files will not transfer as .jpeg files, at least not easily). Here it is:
So if YOU want to knit 'phages on something, here's a chart. (Note that the phage is upside-down; it's made for socks knit from the cuff down.)

That sock looks really nice. I was however wondering how it would work with a corrugated rib on the cuff to match the heel and toe. I am obsessive like that sometimes.

I love them. They are so cool. I really need to knit a bacteriophage something. Thanks so much for sharing the chart.
That's a really great looking sock which can be worn by men or women. I don't think corrugated rib would be stretchy enough for the top of a sock and I like the solid grey there. Makes the bacteriophage stand out more.

Ha! Awesome. It makes me think of amulets and things where you're supposed to be calling in "sympathetic magic"--makes me want to put them on a snuggly blanket I'd use when sick, or something.
I'm pretty sure I converted Excel files to jpgs by pasting them into MS Paint, and saving them as an image there. Not *too* complicated, though I might have needed to mess around with the Excel file a bit to get the lines to stand out.
