DST follies, part 1:

Driving in to work (in the COLD DEAD DARK OF NIGHT thankyouverymuch), saw a bank that had forgot to update their digital time/temperature clock. It said "5:52!"

A little part of me died.

DST follies part 2:

I gave an exam in my 8 am class this morning. (Yeah, bad planning: setting an exam right after the DST change. But hey - don't blame me. *I* didn't make it come three weeks early this year and I wasn't thinking of that when I wrote the syllabus). Had three people missing. One showed up promptly at 9 saying he forgot to reset his alarm clock. (I guess he doesn't go to church?). I'm letting him take it, simply because I'm not really feeling like dealing with displeasure at this hour.

All I can say is I sure hope we're saving LOTS of energy on this trade. (I kind of fail to believe it).

the savings in energy was lost in the $2BILLION spent on fixing everything that was expecting it in 3 weeks. ugh. my sons HATE going to school in t he dark, and today, when my older son (he's 14) walked out the door, he yelled "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!" can't say as i blame the kid.

I'm not fond of DST. When I set the clock back I said, "Nooooo!"
