Well, Blogger keeps suggesting I switch to their "NEW" version.

I haven't yet but it looks like some are being forcibly switched. So we'll see. I just hope my archives don't tank and go away.

I a-l-m-o-s-t finished a sort of "long term" project last night, one of those multidirectional diagonal scarves out of a bulky green-and-white Knitpicks yarn. I think I have the final triangle section to do yet.

I also started a new pair of take-along socks, that are a little less goony looking than the pink Opal Magic socks. (Yes, I still like them even though they look kind of goony. But I'd rather have something pretty to work on and that takes a bit more concentration). Feather and fan socks (the Socks^3 pattern) out of Meilenweit colortweed - in a colorway that's mostly dark greens and dark blue-greens.

Got up EARLY to go to Mart of Wal this morning - there were a couple things I needed, lab-wise, and I had the departmental credit card in my posession (I was going to do it over lunch yesterday but the migraine hit.)

Two things:

1. I will never ever go there before 7 am on a weekday again. Practically every aisle was blocked with "restocking" and they were waxing the floors. I know, I know, it's a 24-hour operation, but - you'd think there'd be MORE people shopping at 6:45 am than at 2 am; they could wax the floors then.

2. No one gets to complain that I didn't pick up exactly what they wanted. I had a hard time deciphering some of the requests. Also, I notice that we are hit once again with their corporate policy of "carry things for six weeks and then drop them and disavow any knowledge of ever having carried them).

Also, my Vermont Country Store order came, so I have the "pantry pest" traps set up in my office - these are the ones with a pheromone lure for meal moths. Well, so far they seem to have brought all the moths out of hiding - they are fluttering around - but I have no evidence of the moths goin IN the traps and getting stuck. Darn. I hope it's not just a moth-stimulant instead of a moth-trap.
