I'm "home" (in the sense of my parents' home)!

The trip up was uneventful and the train was on time for once.

I went out today to help my mom with a little last-minute Christmas shopping. We're gearing up to bring the tree in this evening, and I'm going to start making cookies.

Oh - and so much for my "no buying new yarn for a while." Turns out a VERY nice small yarn shop ("Ewe Knit!") has opened in my parents' hometown. I spotted it while we were on the way to the post office and had to go in.

I bought some Classic Elite baby camel yarn ("Blithe"), I'm going to make a watchcap out of it (for me). It's super-soft and it's a pretty marl color.

I may go back before I return, especially if my father continues his tradition of giving each of the kids some money in their stocking....

I finished the "Naughty Squiddy" today but right now he is drying after being felted.
