O joy!
I found where they stashed all the preserved invertebrate specimens. Today is "phylum trot" day for the animals in my non-majors class. Last time, to just introduce the animals, I grabbed a few specimens from the Mammaology and Ornithology labs. But now I have all kinds of cool stuff - sponges, and tubeworms, and a big-*ss horseshoe crab shell that I can hand around while I talk about the different phyla.
The students really responded well to the specimens on Tuesday so I'm hoping today will go well too.
