Bring on winter:
I finished the "No Kidding" scarf.
(photo cropped to remove the dining room table loaded with boxes of crackers and an almost-all-eaten-up box of Dulce de Leche oreos. [which I hasten to add I have had in my posession for two weeks].)
This was the "keyhole scarf reloaded" - the new "pattern" I came up with after discovering that the Vogue Knitting on the Go pattern was wonky. It's just 16 sts on size 13 needles. Knit for about 10" and then bind off the middle six stitches. Then on the next row, cast on six more stitches over that spot (you are basically making a giant buttonhole). Then knit until you have just enough to finish off with.
Fortunately I had just enough to get a well-balanced scarf. I might have liked it a bit longer, but that's okay.
(I do not know why - it is probably partly the residue of years of school photographers saying, "lift your chin, dear, so we won't get a reflection off your glasses," but I often wind up in pictures [especially those I take myself using the timer] with that weird "1930s/40s aging starlet looks bravely off into the future" or some kind of "pseudo-heroic 1930s propaganda-poster" expression. I generally do not like pictures of myself and I actively dislike having my picture taken - especially under non-posed situations because I ALWAYS have a weird expression on my face then.)

i really like the colors of the scarf - looks warm! i had a great aunt who was famous for making everyone stand with their feet together when photographed, plus the stick out you chin and smile - but don't look fake!
It's really flattering on you; the colors work well next ot your face, and it's a nice cut of scarf.
