Two shots of the finished "Cable and Rib" socks (Spring '05 Interweave Knits, pattern by Erica Alexander. These socks are knit of Opal Hagebutte ["rosehip"]).
I finished the office this afternoon. (I was vacuuming the floor - the last step - at ten minutes after 5). Dang. That was exhausting. I should have called that guy from "Dirty Jobs" and tried to talk him into cleaning my office with me. (It WAS pretty dirty - lots of accumulated dust, and I found a "colony" of larvae from the meal-moths that came in with some rat chow from the experimental rats. Luckily they were inhabiting papers that were bound for the recycling bin [but which I put in the trash after finding the larvae; it skeeved me out too much to either pick them off or to shred the papers with them on.]).
pictures of the office-clean will come tomorrow.
I did get the bookcase in and built without help. But it was an ugly thing to have to do alone, and I said some not very ladylike words while trying to put it together.
