Lovely: still shots from a stop-motion "Tales from Moominvalley" series (scroll down. To my delight, there's even a Fillyjonk. And there's Sniff, another one of my favorite "minor" characters!)

I like how "true" to the illustrations the characters feel to me. I've seen a few odds and ends of the current animated series (shown, oddly enough, only on one of the Spanish-language channels here in the U.S.), and the characters seem too Dr.-Seuss-ized to me. Not that I have a problem with Dr. Seuss, but his style and his ethos is very different from Janssen's style and ethos...

I wonder if they will ever be available on dvd? I would LOVE to have a set of these.
