I've decided, even though I've not bought any new yarn in a while (my last month's visa bill was $9.63, whoo!), that I AM going to declare Mondays to be 'startitis Mondays.' In which I give myself permission to start a new project if I have the desire, even though I have many unfinished projects.
(This is because Mondays are my "oh, my hell, I've been awake for 14 hours and I'm just now done with school for the day" days. Where I have an 8:00 class, an 11:00 class, and a 5-7 pm class).
I think tonight when I get home, I'm going to pull out that big old hank of "No Kidding" I've had stashed away for like, forever, and wind it off (can you wind off a megabulky chenille? I'm guessing that the ball winder is right out for this one) and start the little keyhole scarf that's in the Vogue Chunky Hats and Scarves book.
the hank I have is purple and blue and grey. I got it ages ago because I thought it would look good with my winter coat at-the-time. Well, now my winter coat is camel hair. So oh well. Maybe I can wear it as a transition-season scarf, over a sweater.
Ran home at lunch and cleaned (mostly; the bathroom still needs touching up) house because the aauw ladies are coming tomorrow afternoon for a planning meeting. And I have inferiority complexes about the aauw ladies because so many of them have these showplace houses with rooms they never even use except when people are over. My house is much smaller and by necessity much more functional: there is only one bathroom so when people are coming over, I gather up my eleventy hundred hair products and different scents of shower gel in an empty laundry basket and hide them in my bedroom. So people won't think I'm compulsive, you know. Because really, no one needs three different varieties of lavender body wash. Except that I seem to...
