Gah. Gah. Gaaaaaaaaah.

I think I put in close to five hours today sorting species names - that is, sorting them into families. This is for part of my new research project. And although it feels good to be getting something done, there's still such a long way to go.

but the pattern of the data is looking FAB.

(Ha, that's the inside joke of all inside jokes. I'm the only one who gets it. The bean family - Fabaceae - well, I'm abbreviating it as FAB. And there are an awful lot of FAB showing up in my data set. And a lot of ASTER and POA and BRASS and some APIA and EUPH. So maybe this will be worth doing after all.)

I think I've earned the right, tomorrow, to bug out after my noon class is done and go do something marginally more fun than sorting species.
