Inchworm, inchworm

inch1

Measuring the spider plant

inch2

seems to me, you'd stop and see how beautiful they are

(slightly modified from the Danny Kaye movie about Hans Christian Anderson... tho' I remember it best from The Muppet Show...)

I made this using the Pattern at Crochet Me. I think I might have been better off using a smaller hook...I guess I crochet loosely. You can see the stuffing through the stitches, and I did not stuff her very full. The yarn is some kind of TLC or Red Heart novelty yarn, it has "squiggles" of thread (like sewing thread) wrapped around the yarn and periodically a "big squiggle" that sticks out. Actually, that made it harder to crochet with, because those squiggles were hard to pull through the loops.

I got inspired by this; I pulled out the crocheted puppy I began back in February and got back to work on it. I had to totally pull out and restart the body because I had lost count of the rows, and besides, the number of stitches per round was off (I'm using a boucle type yarn which is a very convincing "puppy" color but is really hard to see the stitches in).

Looks like she has good taste in reading. Maybe she's a bookworm : ) ?
