I'm back.

Vacation was uneventful (except for the train ride up; we had to stop for several hours in Poplar Bluff because of a tornado warning north of us, then the engine died, and finally I got to my parents' house shortly before tornadoes hit Springfield).

I finished the "Gentleman's Plain Winter Socks" from the Vintage Knit Socks book, and I finished the first of the Dublin Bay socks. I also added a few more rows to the band of Samus.

I also made a couple "critters" using patterns from Wee Wonderfuls and some "vintage" fabric (as much as 1970s fabric is "vintage." It was scraps left from the curtains I had in my room when I was a tiny (and not-so-tiny) child, and also scraps left from a dress I had when I was small*) . Pictures will come later. (I have to charge up my camera again.)

(*My parents save EVERYTHING. I come by my packrat ways naturally. Seriously, my mother has dresses from before she was pregnant with me. Of course, some of them she can still fit into, so I guess it's not so bad to still have those. Of course, she doesn't actually WEAR them because styles are so different from, say, 1968... But she does have a green "cocktail" dress that if I were, say, 40 pounds lighter, I would steal from her, it's that cool.)
