Had a rather lovely breakthrough on the GIS project this afternoon - was able to analyze some data I thought I'd not be able to. And the results, while interesting, basically support my existing conclusions. (On one level, that's good, because it doesn't topple my worldview about things. But usually, as Isaac Asimov said, the most exciting words in science are "That's interesting...." So usually an anomalous or unexpected result leads to something better.) But hey, it's progress, it fills a big hole (a hole that was big enough to merit rejection of the paper, I think) so I'll take it.

now I'm headed home - need to do my workout, and, if I can motivate myself, clean house a bit.

"That's interesting" is just about the best phrase in the english language!

Got the package, and love the frame! Thank you very much, and you are quite correct, my birthday is next week.

I'll let you know who is ensconced in the frame!
