Saw this a while back and forgot to post it: link to free Pointy Kitty pattern. (The pattern is a separate link; it's a .pdf file).
I'm thinking of making one of these but am unsure as to fabric. My experiments in the past with calicos for stuffed toys have not gone so well - I don't know if it's my sewing method, or I use too narrow of a seam allowance, or stuff too tightly, but there are frequently strained or "blown" seams on the finished product. And I'm not crazy about the hard-stuffed, 'Dakin dream pet' look that some toys have. I think I've got some sort-of-veloury stuff in my stash that might work for the kitty. Or maybe a heavier weight cotton than quilt calico. Or corduroy.
Annnnd: it's 19*C in my office right now. (That's 66.2* F for you non-SI folks). There's a cold breeze blowing out of the "heat" vent right over my head, and there's no way to shut the vent off. I'm trying to analyze some data for an abstract I need to write some time soon, and the cold and the cramping in my neck is kind of taking the fun out of it.
