My mom called late yesterday evening - everything went fine. Now he just has the recovery and physical therapy to deal with. (I've heard the PT is a real PITA, but I've also heard that after the recovery is done, the knee replacement is "totally worth it.")

So today, I'm happy:

there's nothing really to worry about
it's Friday
my classes look promising this semester
I've got some fun plans for Saturday
I have a three-day weekend
I got three very important tasks accomplished yesterday afternoon

I also knit more on the Cache-coeur last night. This is going to be a fast knit, I think - the back is only 10 3/4" before you begin the shortrowing for the shoulders, and I'm almost to 8" on the back. I've noticed two other things about the Bergamo - first, it can be split if you're not careful where you put the needle, and I think it would look very bad if you split stitches in this. And second, it's very "slidy," at least on the Addi Turbos I'm using - you have to be careful not to drop stitches.
