Another favorite Christmas poem is Christina Rossetti's In the Bleak Midwinter. I have heard this sung to several tunes but the one most familiar to me is the pretty setting by the British composer Gustav Holst.

Now to grade the ecology exams. We had a blown transformer this morning which meant I got essentially NO research done, and there were some tense moments as to whether there'd be power in the building for the 11:00 exams.
