Pretty much back to normal. I've decided to press my Old Backpack (which has most recently served as Field Backpack; I'll have to clean the three-awn seeds off the outside and make sure there's not any residual milkweed fluff or squashed milkweed bugs on the inside) into service as my "personal sanity items" carry-on because I find that I cannot fit my Dopp kit and my books and my pillow and my knitting and my minipurse all into the tiny LL Bean "overnighter" (as if. Maybe an overnighter for a man who sleeps in his boxers and thinks wearing the same pair of jeans for a week straight is okay) I was planning on using.

I also did get back to knitting some; working on the big green shawl. As much as I'd like to take it with me and finish it, I know there will not be room. It's very close to finished, I think, even though I've knit fewer rows than the pattern calls for it's a much thicker yarn and it's probably big enough. I've got two of the pale green stripes on it; I'm going to knit until the third pale green stripe comes up and is finished, and then I'm going to do the row of k2tog, yo and then the twelve rows or so of knit plain to finish it off.

Book Club (first rule of Book Club is you don't talk about Book Club [yes, I know that's been done to death but I can't resist]) is cancelled tonight so after I pack I might, just MIGHT finish the green shawl.
