My neck is slowly getting better. It hurts worst when I first get up, even though I'm careful to use the right thickness pillow (thin, but not so thin your neck bends). I do sleep on my stomach, which I know is bad for your back, but I can't get to sleep otherwise. (And I've tried).
Right now it feels close to okay, there's just some stiffness and a little pain when I try to turn it to the left. I think the fact that as I am up and moving around normally, the pain lessens, is a good sign.
(Charlotte: I've been doing the neck tucks. They do help.)
I'm going to give the baby gift to the school nurse this afternoon; I hope she likes the little hat. (And I've instigated a baby shower here in the department - one of our grad students is expecting in March, and I've been quietly passing the word that we need to have a surprise shower for her, probably early next month. I need to get another one of those little hats made...)
thank goodness, tonight has no meeting. I can go home after I get my allergy shot and relax. I think I'm going to bake a sweet potato for dinner.
I did knit a bit yesterday; I decided during the hour or so I was waiting in my office before my evening class it was preferable to do a sanity-enhancing exercise (as opposed to a getting-further-ahead sort of one) so I knit a bit on the gloves. I've started the thumb gusset.
