And I had the clever idea of taking some representative values of easting and northing, plug them and the lat-long values into a regression, to see if I could get a simple conversion pattern (if there was a linear relationship between the two) but I find that my uni-provided site-license for statistical software has expired.

So FORGET IT. I am going home. I am going to clean my house. Apparently that is all I am capable of doing right now.
