I finished the first Crest O' the Wave sock out of the KnitPicks' "Cape Cod" colored yarn last night. I'm still contemplating the best way to photograph it - dark colorway, tight gauge means that the lace pattern doesn't show quite as well as I anticipated.
I also added a few more rows to the Morehouse Merino "Verona Stole" while reading the second of the two chapters. (Now I need to write my evaluations of them this afternoon. Not sure what I'm going to say, they were mostly pretty good but the information is probably more detail than most non-majors general biology classes really have time for or want to go into).
And I must say I'm extremely flattered by Diann's assessment. I'm still a little surprised when someone describes me as "pretty." I went through a loooooonnnnngggg "awkward period" in junior high and high school (and all the teasing I received in primary grades didn't help), so I don't really think of myself as such.
It was a good time. If my travels ever take me to her part of California, I'll have to arrange a meeting.
