Finished the first of the armwarmers last night. I'm not sure, but I may be able to get both out of a single skein of Kureopatora. (I'm not worrying about color-matching; they're mostly a functional item to keep my hands from freezing in my office).
Other than that, I have a scratchy throat and have not been able to get warm enough this week. I'd much rather it be 25 degrees and snowing than 40 degrees and the constant rain we've had. I can't tell if I'm actually getting sick or if it's just a response to the weather. Just feeling generally blah and tired and borderline ill. Sort of low-tolerance. Like "don't mess with me, I don't feel well, and I don't feel like hearing your cruddy reasons for why you've not been attending class." (I've been having, already, to deal with a lot of the bizarre, soap-opera-like stories that are provided for why class was missed/homework was not turned in/lab was not attended/etc. I find I'm a lot less generous than I was this time last year).
I did finally manage to get a flu shot yesterday, after they lifted the restrictions. Not sure how much good it will do as apparently the flu is pretty common in North Texas and is probably shortly on its way here, and it takes 2 to 3 weeks for immunity. But, whatever. It was only $10 and maybe if I don't get full immunity by the time I'm exposed, I'll at least have partial immunity and won't wind up sick with asthmatic bronchitis for a month like I was last time I had the flu.
