My cold is now at the stage where my voice creaks and cracks. Fortunately, the way the events in my syllabi fall, my 8 am class tomorrow does a lab exercise, I have a short ecology lab, and my Thursday class is a class exercise. So I don't have to talk so much, which is good.
Now it's time for a cup of hot tea.

The vest is lovely. I like texture knitting because different parts catch your eye in different light situatons--always looks so lush. And your quilt top looks great. I share your knitting and quilting interests. I am trying to finish machine quilting a quilt I pieced 18 months ago. I think I am also going to send the next one out to be quilted. I just don't have the sewing area set up for quilting. Even though the large meander quilting is boring and clonish I think it might be great for this quilt because you have the snowman fabric to add interest. I think a simple pattern needs simple quilting. Now if this were your life's masterpiece quilt you would be entitled to be a little obsessive about the quilting! So get it done and move on to the next one. Or so I keep telling myself.
I am struggling to finish up a very basic triangle shawl/scarf done in Rowan Kid/Silk Haze and garter stitch. I am so sick of it. And have ripped back drastically twice because I have a streak of perfectionism. Perfectionism paralyzes production.
I hope your cold is getting better. Keep pushing the fluids and get some rest!
