Fascinating discourse on Knitting and geekery, in case you've not seen it yet.
Hrm. I may have to break down and buy myself a copy of "Unexpected Knitting." Or perhaps, put it on the Christmas list.
In other news, the various compressors for the airconditioner throughout my building are systematically shutting themselves down. First, room 201 was a sweatbox. Then rooms 201 and 203. Now room 204 is intolerable (I know, I taught there this morning). Finally, this afternoon, it's as if there's no air coming in to the faculty offices. I'm beginning to feel vaguely headachey and nauseated in the way I always do when I have to be somewhere where it's too hot for me.
And of course I'm premenstrual, and of course I decided that I needed to wear hose with the skirt I'm wearing today. (Were it not for the fact that the shoes I have on would be likely to leach some kind of nasty dye onto my feet, I'd strip the hose off now).
I really hope they get the A/C fixed soon. It's no fun to teach (and even less fun to be a student) in a room where it's over 80 degrees. Otherwise, we all may be taking an unplanned couple-of-days vacation.
