Happiness is having a sweater to block:
It's the "Dolman Updated," from the Winter 03 Interweave Knits. The pattern designer is Lynn Gates. Instead of the cotton/silk/viscose blend, I used Elann's Highland Wool (a 100% wool, no breed listed but it's a fairly roughish wool from the feel of the yarn).
You can see a tiny screen shot of the sweater (it was the cover sweater) here. I used almost the same color, mine might be more blue and less grey. That's interesting, because I almost never make a project in the same color in which it is shown.
I'm hot for this sweater again. I was all excited when I first started it, but most of the knitting was done while I read - because, as you can probably see, it's all stockinette and the only part where you have to pay attention is in the shaping. But now, all that remains is to (neatly! because they're on the outside) sew up the seams, and then do the little garter stitch collar and cuffs.
Of course it's too warm to wear this now, but that's why it makes me happy - it makes me think of fall, and the leaves changing color, and good apples in the store...
