As for knitting:

Nothing really new to report. (I think that's why I've been talking at length about all the other things going on). I finished the third chunk of the Dolman Updated sweater and began the fourth (and final) chunk of it. I'm not looking forward to blocking this one; the fact that the sleeves are all-of-a-piece with the body means it takes up an awful lot of room.

I may have to block it piece by piece.

Or invest in a piece of foam-core board (which I've been considering for a while) and do the duct-tape-hinge thing to make it storable.

I don't think sewing and then blocking is an option here; the seams on this are designed to be sewn on the outside, so they have to be "pretty" and I don't think I can do pretty seams without blocking the (horribly curley) pieces first.

I'm also on something like row 42 of the Kilimanjaro Kat shawl edging. There are 45 charted rows, but then something like fifteen more edge finishing rows, topped off by "whipstitch the live stitches down loosely," an instruction that scares me even though I know how to whipstitch.

I'd like to start something new (I even dreamed about the Muench Bergamo last night) but I've told myself "no" until I finish these two things.

It's hard being disciplined.
