You know it's going to be a bad day, humidity-wise, when you wake up in an air-conditioned house and you are already perspiring. Yuck.

Picked away at a few projects yesterday afternoon - finished the third (of four) borders on the Prairie Stripes afghan, knitted some on the "That 70s Sock" while reading a chapter in a book on community assembly, worked a bit on the border of the Kilimanjaro Kat shawl.

Just feeling kind of blah. I think it's a combination of allergies and humidity, and also not having any kind of a set schedule to stick to (Yes, I know, I could make one. But I'm really not organized enough for that).

Last night was the last youth activity for the summer. Sad, yet happy to be free of it for a while. My co-worker is going off to college so I sincerely hope they get someone who can work with me in the fall - I don't want to wrangle up to a dozen kids, ranging in age from 8 to 14, all by myself.

Today I help out in the community food bank. Other times, it's been very slow (sat and read for the whole hour and saw no one) but seeing as it's the end of the month, I may actually get to help someone today.

Trying to write on the prairie conference paper but my scientific muse has been silent this week. Every word, every bit of analysis is a struggle. Tomorrow I'm going to bag it and come in and enter data for a different project instead. At least with entering data you know when you're done.
