Well, hopefully I've turned the corner on this poison-ivy infection. I was able to sleep last night and I don't want to rip my skin off this morning, so I suspect it's slowly abating.
The alarming thing is that I'm apparently getting a few hives - or perhaps they are new infections, but I hope not, they do look different - on my legs. And my earlobes itch and feel swollen.
I couldn't do much last night - yesterday was the worst day of the poison ivy - but I did add a little bit to my newest "simple sock" (this one is being knit of Trekking Crazy Stripes #38. It's coming out more "1970s" than I expected (the colors are very earthy, not as peachy as the scan-shot suggests). I also read the first chapter of three that I am being hired to review for an upcoming basic biology book.
After I got done with the first chapter, I put the sock down and switched to the crocheted "Open Season" scarf. I've decided to finish up some of the projects I have going before taking on any new ones.
however, using a mohair-containing yarn when your forearms are covered with weeping poison-ivy blisters is not cool, so I put that aside pretty fast and read a book instead.
