
This is Morris the Moose. Some of you, those raised in the 60s and early 70s, may recognize Morris. He was the star of a series of children's books by B. Wiseman. Morris was a bit naive (some might say dim) but lovable. My biggest memory was of him going to the candy shop to buy gumdrops.
Last summer, I decided I wanted a "Morris" of my very own. So I bought a copy of the book I remembered (turns out there are a couple of Morris stories), and by my cut-and-fit patterning style, came up with what I dare say is a very respectable version of Morris.
