I've always wondered, what do you do when you buy a new product and don't like it? I mean, I can see buying a box of cookies of a brand you've bought for a long time, and finding out they're stale, and either taking them back to the store or writing to the company. But what about something you try and *just* *don't* *like*?
That is the case for me with the new Quaker Breakfast Bars. They sound like such a good idea - a bowl of cereal compressed into a little square, with frosting even. But they just don't appeal to me. I took a bite of one this morning and found out they were:
1. too dry
2. sort of bland tasting
3. filled with weird little nuggets that feel kind of like Rice Krispies.
I don't think I can take the box back to the store and go "you know, I just didn't like these, can I get part of my money back", and I doubt I can send them back to the company and say "I just didn't like these"
but now I have a box full of calorically-dense bars in my kitchen that I just prefer not to eat.
I suppose I could bring them in and leave them in the break room here. Any food item, even the dreadful "Butterfinger" hot chocolate I brought in last fall, eventually disappears.
