Still feeling lousy. I had to bail early yesterday due to a migraine. Now, I'm over that, but my throat is scratchy and I have that general under-the-weather feeling (for me, it mostly manifests as "I really don't want to put up with other people's cr*p").

I did finish the gusset decreases on the second of my mom's Christmas socks last night. And I got the top all sewn together for the pillow I am making for the AAUW gift exchange. I've decided to machine quilt in-the-ditch on the patches, and if I have time, do hand quilting in the border.

Also, the Folio Society books I ordered came. And thankfully, they sent THIS set by Priority Mail (well they should, considering what I paid for shipping!). So my brother's Christmas present is taken care of (I got him their translation of the Dead Sea Scrolls - he's studying to be a minister).

I picked a little at the research proposal but have decided that if I can "clear the decks" workwise for this weekend, I'll try to finish it up then.
