Well, I got a first draft of the Asclepias proposal written (I find going by Anne Lamott's advice of "just write a sh***y first draft" helps immensely - telling myself I'm writing a crummy first draft and I can clean it up later frees me from my perfectionism).
I turned the heel on the second of the Country socks, and picked up the stitches for the gusset (it's a bear when you're using sportweight on size 1 needles; I think because Nancy Bush's socks tend to run small, I'm going to do the Welsh stockings - when I do them - on size 2 needles instead and just have looser socks).
I knit some on the Rio socks - the gusset decreases are done on the first sock.
and I knit on the Fun Fur scarf. I also ran out to Hobby Lobby on Saturday (feeling guilty all the way for not staying home and doing research-work; I'm already starting to get tenure-anxiety even though it's a year off for me) and bought two skeins in red and two skeins in hot pink (all the other colors they had). I'm going to do the red one for my mom, the hot pink one I'm not sure yet. It's because it's just good "reading" knitting. I'm sure I'll find someone to give the hot pink one to once it's done.
or I might try to work up a chemo cap out of it. I think it would make very nice chemo caps because the yarn is so soft and silky. I'm sure there's somewhere on the web that's an address I can send a chemo cap to? (thank God, at this point I don't know anyone who needs one).
