Thank God it's Friday!!
I knit a bit on the Rio socks last night. I've decided I'm going to work hard this afternoon and then take the weekend as (mostly) relaxation. I'm feeling back in the mood for working on a quilt, so I think I'm going to try to finish piecing the border on my Provence quilt this evening, and I might think about making the pieced pillow top I'm going to do as my AAUW gift-exchange gift this year.
I was lucky last week - walked into the JoAnn's on the day pillow forms were 50% off. I bought both a 20 incher and a 14 incher - the quilt pattern I want to do is the "little house" and I am going to do it with snow on the ground, and maybe applique some on the roof. I have some nice "winter night" fabric I can use for the background.
I also might applique a snowman by the house. One of the members is a snowman nut and that might make her happy.
I just have to see what patterns I have for the "house" block and how best to fit them onto either a 14 or 20 inch pillow.
My inclination is to use the 20 inch form because it will give me a bigger "canvas" to work on...
