Last night:
cleaned the kitchen
made bruschetta with a tomato from my garden (delicious)
read a couple more chapters in the new Ecology text
knit some on the Country socks from Folk socks
watched Good Eats
I lead a boring life.
I will take a moment to plug my all-time favorite "cooking for one" type book. It's called "Going Solo in the Kitchen". Unlike a lot of cooking-for-one books, it doesn't suggest going the steak/burger/chops route every day, nor does it rely on prepackaged food. All the recipes I've tried I've liked, and some are really excellent (I like her recipe for biscuits). The bruschetta was out of this book but I'm guessing it is a pretty standard recipe.
Tomorrow I'm going to take the day and go to McKinney, to spend the time boutiquing I got cheated out of in Longview when my car window got broken.
