Well, in between dodging headaches (thunderstorms have been pending here for about three days), I've gotten quite a lot of work done.

I updated one paper that should be about ready to send off (if my co-author approves)
I finished (as far as I can; I'm lacking data and not sure such data are available) the last nitpicky bits of reanalysis for another paper I need to resubmit
In the course of doing that, I realized a teeny error in the data analysis of the paper for the Missouri prairie conference. So I fixed that and updated the paper and the presentation.

I've also discovered it's best not ofr me to look at the computer screen for too long. D'Oh. My eyes are starting to hurt again so it's about time I got off the machine.

I'm also done with the armhole decreases on the sweater back and just have a couple inches to go on it.

I'm also very very close to being done with the quilting on my bed quilt! Yay! I'm ready to layer my next one (it's all marked) and pop it in the frame.

And: last night's Nero Wolfe episode was very very good. I don't know who wrote the ending (it wasn't in the original story) but it was very in character and was actually quite touching.

I didn't like Colin Fox as Fritz Brenner at first - my "mental picture" of Fritz was of someone a bit younger, with dark hair and a moustache only (Fox wears a beard in the show), and not quite as dour as Fox's Fritz is sometimes, but he's really starting to grow on me. He underplays Fritz just enough (Fritz is my favorite character in the novels...)

I wish the rest of television could be done with half the attention and care that these shows are.
