Rain again. So no fieldwork today. So I'm going to force myself (yeah, that's it, that's the ticket) to actually rewrite these two articles. Next Wednesday I have tentatively pencilled in a "fun day" - running down to McKinney, Texas and spending the day in the boutiques and antique stores (I can spend a whole day in antique stores).
Last night, I finished the first of the Circus foot-warmer socks. And did my first short-rowed heel. It's not as hard as it always sounded on other patterns, with their cryptic "SRW" instructions. So now I think I might take on some more short-rowed socks
in the future. here is a pattern for some very attractive socks made of Fixation cotton, with short-rowed heels. I plan to do those sometime now, as I have some nice cherry-red Fixation in stash that would look good as these.
