Got some more topsoil yesterday, but now it's raining, so I can't use it right yet. I also bought more of the State Flower Fabrics at the Hobby Lobby. I'm hooked on these things (but it seems other people aren't; on two occassions I have gotten huge pieces (bolt-ends) for very cheap off the clearence table. Yesterday, I got a bit more than three yards of the Ohio carnations off the sale table (I grew up in Ohio) and also a small piece of one of the newer ones, the peonies. ( I can't wait for the State Bird fabrics to come out - I will probably go nuts over them too).

I'm looking at my quiltbooks and thinking about what I could do. I've been wanting to do a purple and yellow quilt - and I have lots of the Colorado Columbine fabric - so I may do one in a book I have that is called "Buttercream Blues", where you have a series of Ohio Star blocks set in a "ground" of print fabric.

Or I might just do a bunch of Variable Star blocks of the different fabrics and set them together.

I also knitted on the Spanish Shawl last night. I'm getting excited about this one again - I'm over half done with the knitting (this is going to be the fastest shawl I ever made).

But now, I have to finish rewriting a paper. I have all my changes handwritten out, just have to type them in. I discovered this morning that I can touch-type - I don't need to look at the keys anymore. Don't know when I learned that - I never took a typing course but I do use the keyboard a lot now.
