Oh, and purchases over break:
2 skeins of "Artful Yarns" portrait in a pale spring green and pink combination (I think the name given to it is "Christina's World", like the painting, you know?). This is destined to become a scarf.
Three balls of something called "Eco-yarn" or "Eco-wool" (I don't have it right at hand). It's a cotton, wool, silk blend. It's a pretty tweedy brown and tan combination. I'm going to do a simple rollbrim hat like this one out of it.
Three skeins of Reynold's "Paris" (a fuzzy chenille-like yarn) and a pattern for a cowl.
Two skeins of a yarn called "Valentine" (I forget the brand; it's a fuzzy yarn) in white for the bunny pattern here.
I also bought a couple of patterns, including one called the Landscape Shawl. I wanted to buy yarn for it but couldn't find any that suited - that tells me that I should go with my initial thought and order up some Lorna's Laces for it.
Bought a bunch of books at Barron's, including one called "Time Stops for no Mouse" - a kid's book, true, but it looks intriguing - a mystery that features a watchmaker mouse. And I bought the newest Monica Ferris mystery - I can read these things in no time flat. This one (A Murderous Yarn) was pretty entertaining. Passed it on to my mom when I was done with it.
