Working on: About 1/3 of the way done with knitting all the bits for the frog booties. Gave up on the stay-on baby socks, because I found an extremely cute "onesie" with a "tiny little turtle" applique and a little bitty baseball cap (babies NEED to wear hats if they're out in the sun and people often forget this)
Spend 1/2 hour this afternoon trying to rake the leaves in the backyard into something resembling a compost pile. I need to work on this more but it was getting late and cold and I had to fix dinner.
Cooked: noodle kugel from "Square Meals" by the Sterns (unfortunately an out of print book, but I found a copy through a used-book seller). It was yummy. I plan to freeze most of the rest of it.
Reading: The Eustace Diamonds by Anthony Trollope (my favorite author): Series of Unfortunate Events #2 (yes, it's a kids book, but a dam' funny one, and I plan to buy the rest of the series once I have paid for the new roof my house needs); Scrooge's Cryptic Carol by Robert Gilmore (this one needs a bit of explanation; it's a parody of A Christmas Carol {obvious} but it also explains some of the basic concepts of quantum physics. Gilmore has written several of these parodies; they're lots of fun. And you might learn something, too)
