Whoa! Now is the time for me to get that boa and rhinestone sunglasses out...
chicknits has mentioned me on her Links page.

Thanks, Bonne! I hope to keep up the knit-chatter.

Wearing today: a funky rectangular shawl I crocheted from Woolease. It's called Burgundy Sprinkles, but the picture on Lion Brand's website doesn't really capture the true hippie-back-to-the-lander quality of the yarn. It was a pattern on the back of the ball band for one of the "bonus bundles" I bought really really cheap at JoAnn Fabrics a couple years back.

If I had been born 15 years earlier, I would have been one of those 20-somethings buying vintage clothing and growing all her own vegetables. I have a strong back-to-the-land strain in me - a feeling that I would like to be able to make or grow everything I come into daily contact with. But I also have a strong strain of practicality in me (coupled with a weakness for things like chocolate and quilting fabric, two things I'd be hard put to make myself).
