Okay, things seem to be back going again.
I bought the February Martha St***rt Living. It's very...pink...
I admit to conflicted feelings about Valentine's Day. On one hand, being a girly girl, I like pink things, soft things, sweet things, chocolate, scented candles, and so forth.
But as a girly girl who doesn't have a fellow, I have to admit some cynicism - is Radio Shack really that closely allied with Valentine's Day that they can do ads for it? Should companies guilt people into buying things for their "significant others"?
And doesn't it make single unattached people feel just a little alone and lousy?
Anyway.
I also bought some CDs, from the set your life to music line. I don't know for sure why I like these - they are mostly compilations and lots of the stuff I have elsewhere on other CDs. But the cover art appeals to me.
This evening's project will be to try to finish as much as possible on the Bloomfield Throw - I am at the fiddly intarsia bit that I dislike. Fancy stitches over colorwork any day!
I want to get this done because I want the finished product, but also because I am itching to start the Trinity stitch shawl. (Photo here). I have some pink sportweight yarn that should be just right for a nice summer shawl.
